On 21 October 2013, Olivier d’Agay, Delegate General of the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation, signed a partnership agreement with Martin Hirsch, President and Founder of the Institut du Service Civique (French Institute of Civilian Service), in the presence of the laureates of the Institute’s class of 2013, its partners and numerous personalities during its annual reception held at the ESCP-Europe in Paris.

The Institut du Service Civique’s mission is to help youth who have shown strong potential (the ability to adapt, to take initiative, a sense of responsibility, leadership, commitment, etc.) during their civilian service to gain access to training courses and professional careers that would allow them to highlight their skills. In 2012, the first class of the Institut du Service Civique welcomed 150 laureates. In 2013, the Institut du Service Civique welcomes 200 laureates.

This unique partnership between the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation and the Institut du Service Civique, based on common values of commitment, civic-mindedness and the obligations of citizenship, has the main objective of developing concrete actions in favour of disadvantaged youth in France, in particular by implementing a scholarship named after Antoine de Saint-Exupéry for the benefit of the Institute’s laureates.

As the famous poet and man of action once wrote, “Your task is not to foresee the future, but to enable it” – The Wisdom of the Sands.
