Stories by Michael Morpurgo and Guests

on ne voit bien qu’avec le coeur” – Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in The Little Prince

As 2020 marks the 120th anniversary of the birth of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the Institut français du Royaume-Uni, the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Foundation for Youth and Montblanc will host on their social media a series of five exceptional readings of The Little Prince, translated by writer Michael Morpurgo.

Michael Morpurgo will read an extract from the book each day, accompanied by acclaimed actors and authors. Each reading will be followed by a discussion on the timeless themes of this classic tale that still resonate today, from writing in times of crisis, giving a voice to those who do not have one, and the importance of cross-cultural relationships between countries to celebrate lasting creativity.

The Duke of Wellington will launch the series during the first episode on 29 June.

Original drawings of Saint Exupery will be presented, as well as live drawings by acclaimed calligrapher Alice Mazzilli inspired by the readings.

Monday 29 June until Friday 3 July 5pm
